Underwater Experience

British artist, Jason de Caires Taylor, created these 400 sculptures from casts of real people and placed them on the ocean floor outside of Mexico's Isla Mujeres National Marine Park. La Evolución Silenciosa (The Silent Evolution) aims to encourage coral growth in the waters close to Cancun. The result is a thoroughly engaging - and sustainable - underwater experience.

An Effective Illusion

This espresso bar to be located near Grand Central Station in New York was designed by New York studio Nemaworkshop to resemble a library turned on its side. Called D’espresso, the interior has been rotated 90 degrees so that one wall features herringbone-pattern wooden flooring while the opposite wall will have pendent lights protruding horizontally. The result is both original and convincing.

Interactive Wayfinding

An Informationboard designed and produced by Ritator in cooperation with ABB and Thinlight for Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design.Electric light cables where lowered into engraved lines and letters. The text was made by sewing the light cable through the board. Press a button and a shining cable shows the way in a truly innovative wayfinding experience.
